2024 Oscar Nomination Predictions
Welcome to the lead-up to the Oscar nominations, the five-day stretch where pundits lose their minds and pull out their hair over which contenders will land coveted nominations, which sweepers will continue, and which snubs will allow for big shocks.
Oppenheimer has been the film to beat so far this year in a number of categories, while international picks like Anatomy of a Fall have had good showings, though France’s decision not to submit Justine Triet’s film for International Feature consideration heavily limits its chances.
While certain categories like — ironically — Best Picture seem to be an easy set of nominees, others — like the supporting acting categories — are more up in the air.
