Read The Script Behind ‘Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse’

Though it may not have reached the heights of its predecessor, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse made quite a splash when it was released in June, and doesn’t have any plans of stopping as we roll into awards season.

Last night’s Gothams kicked off what will be the first of many awards shows this year, with Past Lives taking the top prize. Though Spider-Verse wasn’t eligible for Gothams’ categories, it’s a title that’s expected to pop up quite a lot very shortly.

Spider-Verse is a title many are penciling in for the Best Animated Feature Oscar, but Sony is hoping for much more than that, campaigning in all eligible categories, including Best Picture.
