'Barbie' First Teaser Pays Homage To '2001: A Space Odyssey'

The first teaser for the highly anticipated Barbie movie from director Greta Gerwig has been released, and fans are loving it. The teaser kicks off with an homage to Kubrick’s 2001: A Space Odyssey, and ramps up into true Barbie chaos. We see glimpses of the town made up of life-size “Barbie Dream Houses,” and get a look at the multiple “Ken” dolls set to appear throughout the film. Barbie is slated to hit theaters on July 21, 2023, the same day as Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. Watch the first teaser for Barbie below.
