'Bottoms' Trailer: Ayo Edebiri And Rachel Sennott Start A Fight Club

One of the most hotly anticipated summer releases, Bottoms, got its first trailer today, and it’s about as horny, funny, and outrageous as you’d expect. The film follows PJ (Rachel Sennott) and Josie (Ayo Edebiri), two lesbian high-school seniors who, until now, have been nothing more than the “Ugly, untalented gays.” Things start to begin to look up for the two when they decide to start a fight club — that includes the cheerleaders they desperately want to hook up with — and their popularity begins to rise.

Our Chief Film Critic caught the film during its world premiere at SXSW, saying, “This is the kind of movie that needs to be seen in a theater with the biggest crowd possible, preferably more than once.” Read our full review of Bottoms here and watch the trailer below:

Bottoms stars Rachel Sennott, Ayo Edebiri, Zamani Wilder, Summer Joy Campbell, Havana Rose Liu, Kaia Gerber, Virginia Tucker, Nicholas Galitzine, Miles Fowler, and Marshawn Lynch. The film, directed by Emma Seligman and produced by Orion Pictures, is being distributed by MGM for an August 25 release.
