‘Heart Of Stone’ Trailer: Gal Gadot And Jamie Dornan Star In Netflix Spy Thriller

Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan are going Mission: Impossible in Heart of Stone, a spy thriller from The Aeronauts director Tom Harper. The film, which just got its first trailer during Netflix’s TUDUM live event, finds Gadot, known for her role as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in the DCEU, as Rachel Stone, a secret agent for The Charter who’s currently undercover, posing as an operative for MI6.
The trailer’s opening narration tells her, “You know what you signed up for. No friends, no relationships... What we do is too important.” The Charter, a collective of the world’s most highly trained secret agents, has no political leanings, no national allegiances — they operate on their own, doing what they want when they want to, “Working together to keep peace in a turbulent world.”
The film appears to revolve around the capture and recapture of a MacGuffin — The Heart, a powerful AI that can predict the future, giving The Charter its power. As the trailer puts it, “If you own The Heart, you own the world.” We follow this pursuit around the world, from locations like Iceland and the Sahara Desert to England, Morocco, and Lisbon, in an attempt to take back The Heart from Keya Dhawan (Alia Bhatt of RRR).
Heart of Stone is directed by Tom Harper, written by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder, and produced by Mockingbird Pictures, Skydance Media, and Pilot Wave, with Netflix distributing the project for an August 11 release. The film stars Gal Gadot, Jamie Dornan, Alia Bhatt, Archie Madekwe, Sophie Okonedo, and Matthias Schweighöfer, among others.
