3 Things You May Have Missed In Ms. Marvel Episode 4
A Canadian Easter Egg:
After encountering Kamala in the train station, Red Dagger asks, “Do all masked Americans have superpowers?” To which Kamala responds, “How do you know I’m not Canadian?” While this may not be intentional, this is seemingly a nod to Ms. Marvel actress Iman Vellani being Pakistani-Canadian.
A Larger Than Life Painting:
As we’ve previously seen in the show, Scott Lang is certainly an MCU public figure, as he hosts a podcast, “Big Me Little Me”. And as we’ve taken the show to Pakistan, there is street art of Ant Man using blue Pym Particles to grow into Giant Man. The art is captioned with “You can start small and still be larger than life.”
The Train:
Although this piece of the episode wasn’t subtle, when Najma hits Kamala’s Bangle directly with her blade, Kamala is “sent” to the train to Karachi that her grandmother was on after partition. The visions that Kamala has received from the Bangle are seemingly revolving around this train to Karachi, but also her great-grandmother, Aisha. It seems like Aisha will play a role in the next episode, as she’s been cast and has been seen in promotional stills for the rest of this series.
