Sequels Coming For 'Toy Story,' 'Frozen,' & 'Zootopia'

Cr. Disney.

During the Disney Q1 2023 Investor Call, CEO Bob Iger announced that sequel projects are in the works at the studio for the Toy Story, Frozen, and Zootopia franchises. The films will mark the fifth, third, and second entries into their respective franchises. No other information was given about the projects, including, but not limited to, their release dates, plot details, and crew members.

During the investor call, Iger also announced that Disney will be letting go of 7,000 of their employees as they look to cut over 5 billion dollars in costs. This comes after the news that their film and TV departments for direct-to-streaming content will be reorganized, and led by Alan Bergman and Dana Walden, with ESPN becoming its own standalone unit.
