It’s a sad day in Hollywood, as Rick Dalton, star of the 70s TV series Bounty Law, passed away at the age of 90. Born in 1933, Dalton got his big break on the aforementioned Bounty Law as the series’ star. Dalton was also known for his part in stopping members of Charles Manson’s cult from carrying out an assassination attempt on Sharon Tate. He was aided by friend and stuntman Cliff Booth.

One of the more entertaining rumors about Dalton and Booth that popped up over the years was the seemingly tall tale that Booth brawled with — and bested — Bruce Lee on the set of The Green Hornet. A release from Dalton’s team confirmed that he died of natural causes at home and was surrounded by loved ones, including his wife Francesca Capucci.

Dalton retired from acting in 1988 and moved to Hawaii with his wife, where he lived out the rest of his days. He will be greatly missed. This Week Media
