Saltburn, one of the year’s most divisive films, arrived in theaters everywhere last week after premiering at the Telluride Film Festival in early September.

Set mostly during the summer 2007, the film riffs on Patricia Highsmith’s Talented Mr. Ripley premise and follows Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan), Fennell’s Tom Ripley as he joins Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi) for a summer at Felix’s family’s UK estate, Saltburn.

The film, Fennell’s second, is her follow-up to 2020’s Promising Young Woman, which brought her an Oscar for Best Original Screenplay and landed nominations in other categories, including Best Picture.
