10 Details You Might Have Missed In She-Hulk Episode 1

This Thursday, the first episode of She-Hulk: Attorney At Law was released on Disney+, and of course brought with it some good ‘ole easter eggs. We’re going to point out some of the most prominent details throughout the episode.

The first noteworthy addition comes during the Marvel Studios opening title crawl, as The Mighty Thor (Natalie Portman) can be seen in the middle of the R in Marvel. The next thing fans may have spotted after Jen (Tatiana Maslany) practices her closing arguments is that Nikki (Ginger Gonzaga) already knows that she’s a Hulk. This prompts the first fourth-wall break of the series which takes us into flashbacks for most of the episode.

The way She-Hulk gets her powers is semi-comic-accurate but differs so that after an encounter with a Sakaarian Class-Eight Courier Craft, Jen and Bruce (Mark Ruffalo) get into a car accident which causes some of the gamma-infused blood to get into her system. Fans have additionally speculated that the ship may be piloted by Skaar, Hulk’s son from the comics.

In the next part of the episode, taking place in Bruce's (and Tony’s?) beach house, we learn that Jen’s blood reacted well enough to synthesize the Gamma Radiation, and Bruce used it to fully heal his arm, allowing himself to transform back into “Smart Hulk”. As Jen walks through the house in Mexico, she sees the damaged helmet of one of the Iron Legion sitting on a shelf, as we learn that Tony built this house for Bruce during the Blip. Additionally, Jen is seen wearing a Led Zeppelin t-shirt, which is probably one of Tony Stark’s. This is the second rock band to be featured in the MCU as of late, as Guns N’ Roses was prominent in the latest Thor Movie.

The last 3 things we’ll point out come from the last few bits of the episode, the first being the return of Hulk’s famous thunderclap, last seen in The Incredible Hulk. We now see Bruce use it to stop Jen from leaving the compound in Mexico, and she quickly picks it up and uses it back at him.

After dealing with Titania (Jameela Jamil) in a brief fight in the courtroom in the present day, Jen’s last remark of the episode is, “I’m ready to give my closing argument now.” This would be the same closing argument we saw her practicing at the beginning of the episode.

Most MCU fans are used to the Disney+ shows not having post-credit scenes until the finale, but She-Hulk is an exception. The series will feature post-credit scenes after every episode, and while the purpose of each is unclear, the first one touched on the certain status of one Steve Rogers which was brought up earlier in the episode.
